The wizards just could not get it done last week vs. Team 3. Denbo and Merritt dropped
8 each but neither player was at the top of their offensive game. Denbo did have 7 steals and a team high 5 assists. Center Gabriel Kirk had a season high 6 Points and 4 Rebounds. The Wizards had a great offensive game but struggled on D. Henry McCullers had a career high 5 Points, including a long ball. The wizards play 2 games next week.

Wiz fall to Team 2 by 1 in a thriller
The wiz have now lost 4 straight. The final minute consisted of a clutch 3 by Merritt to get the game within 1. Free throws by a Team 2 player were missed. The final 20 seconds had Wray missing a three, a foul at the other end, another missed shot by Wray. In the final six seconds Denbo got the ball off the inbound but was tightly covered and had no hope but to pass to Wray who heaved up a shot at the buzzer. No good. The wiz were lead by Merritt who had 10 Points and 3 boards, and Denbo with 5 Points and 3 Assists. Center Gabe Kirk picked up a bucket but had a good amount of TOs. Nick Bowers struggled from the floor but had a team high 5 rebounds. There was plenty of fouls to go around, featuring Bowers, Merritt, Patrick Henry and Navratil. Also, Pat Henry had a nice layup after an offensive rebound. Jesse Wray had a nice bucket. Wish the wiz luck next week vs. Team 3.

Wiz Annihilated by Doherty, Team 7.
The 3 game skid continued Sunday when the wizards lost by 17 to Team 7. Team 7 was highlighted by rookie PG Nicholas Roberson and Hot- Shooting Cole Doherty. They had a spectacular offensive performance, scoring 46. On the other hand, The Wizards were highlighted by Tom Merritt, who had 12 Points, including a garbage time trey. Guard Luke Denbo cagught fire in the fourth after a rough first half. Denbo netted 13 Points and had a triple. Guard Conrad Sunter had a nice three point bomb in the first half. Forward Dan Navratil had a nice inside bucket to go along with a board. Forward Jesse Wray had a throw. The wiz will be taking on the streaking Team 3 next week without Denbo, who is off to a 8.6 PPG start and is 2nd on Team. (Merritt- 9.3) Denbo and Merritt combined also for 7 steals and 4 assists. Patrick Henry went scoreless but nonetheless picked up 5 dimes. Gabriel Kirk had 5 bounds.

BS eleminated from playoffs in week one vs. Bernadette
BS falls to St Berandette due to cold shooting. They shall face St Elzibeth next week in hopes of playing just one more game in the consolation championship.
WIzards drop 2nd Straight to red hot Johnson and his Terps.
The wizards fell yet again to the Terps. All-Star Tom Merritt went cold, dropping a mere 4. Guard Luke Denbo had a rec season high 9 points to go with 2 boards. Nick Bowers had a sensational game, picking up 6 points including a 3. Patrick Henry picked up a basket and 6 assists. Gabe Kirk was scoreless but had 5 rebounds to go with a block. Sunter also netted a throw. The WIzards look to end their offensive struggles against Team 2 on sunday.

The Wizards could not pull away from the Dragons despite a close first half. Recently nominated All- Star reserve Luke Denbo had 7 Points and 3 boards, including a trey. Conrad Sunter caught fire in the 4th but it was a little too late, picking up 6 all in the 4th. Gabe Kirk added another bucket and 7 boards to his spectacular season. Patrick henry netted a J as well. Tom Merritt was inactive for the game do to a supreme court visit. The 2-1 Wizards take on Ortiz malte and Johnson next week.

Wizards pull away from Spurs in 2nd half behind Merritt's 15
The now 2-0 wizards defeated the Spurs on Sunday 28-21. The wiz were led by Guard Tom Merritt, scoring a career high 15 points and tacked on 5 boards. Tom Merritt also had a career high 8 turnovers. He scored the first 8 points for the wizards. Guard Luke Denbo had a decent 7 points, to go with 3 assists. The wiz were extremely short handed. Forward Gabe Kirk was questionable before the game with an illness, played, but got hurt again in the mid first half. Forward Jessie Wray and Guard Patrick Henry each made layups in the fourth. Nick Bowers and Henry McCullers(2&3PPG) were inactive due to traveling during the extra long MLK weekend. Next week the wiz will square off against Alex Leicter and the Dragons(Team4). Tom Merritt leads the wiz in PPG with 10 and a half. Luke Denbo is second with 7.5.

BS falls short to Little Flower
Due to absence of leading scorer andreas, BS falls by 15 to the Cardinals. G Luke Denbo scored 11 out of BS' sixteen, hitting 3 threes. Center #42 also recorded a season high 3 points.
Mo Co D3 Wizards pull away first game vs. team 6
Wizards beat shorthanded Team 6, 29-15. The Wizards were led by guards Luke Denbo and Tom Merritt, who combined for 14 Points, 7 assists, and 10 Rebounds. Forward Henry McCullers tacked on his first bucket of the year with a long three that went in. The jumper was the momentum swinger for the 1-0 wizards. Guard Patrick Henry played a game-high 24 minutes, recording a point and 4 assists. The Wizards pulled away in the 3rd quarter, using the full-court press to their advantage. Denbo had 4 steals in the 3rd quarter which turned into 3 easy layups. Center Gabriel Kirk tied his career high with 4 points. In the 4th quarter, Rookie Daniel Navratil and Conrad Sunter each got fouled taking layups and each made 1 out of 2 free throws. When asked about playing time, Head Coach Mark Denbo says, "Whoever gives the most effort in practice plays the most minutes." Rookie Nick Bowers led all 3 rookies with 2 points. Next up for the Wizards is team 1, Led by all star point guard Justin Smith, who is currently the league in steals, at 10 per game. Wish the wiz good luck!
